LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Commerce Public Library is to be a 21st century library serving its users as a community center where professional staff insures that quality materials, services and programs are provided for the public and that public computers and free Internet are available to all. The Commerce Public Library will continue to be an institution of life-long learning working to improve the quality of life of the people it serves including our business community. In order to serve the entire community the library provides services in both English and Spanish. “Leer es poder.”

Phone Notifications
The library will now be providing overdue and hold notifications using our new phone notification system. You will receive a phone call the same day your items are due, or that your request is available, keeping you up-to-date on your library activity. You may also call our phone notification system to renew your items or review your account by calling: 323-887-4438 or 323-838-4252.

E-mail Notifications
In addition to this, you can also receive overdue and hold notifications through e-mail. For users who provide us with their e-mail address, we will also be providing "3-Day Pre-Overdue" notices which will remind our users before the item is due with a direct link to http://rooms.cocpl.org where they can renew their items before they are due.
